Like any agreement, the TPP (if ratified by Congress) will create winners and losers. Weighing in at more than 2,700 pages, the 12-country pact isn’t as much about “free trade” as it is about how — and in whose in interest — decisions about our economy, labor standards and the environment will be made.

Baker is an Economic Opportunity Institute board member, an American macroeconomist and co-founder of the Center for Economic and Policy Research, and a prolific author. He was previously a senior economist at the Economic Policy Institute and an assistant professor of economics at Bucknell University, and holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan.

This is a special web version of the show which includes all of the answers from the Q&A portion and an introduction by EOI Executive Director John Burbank, who puts the TPP in local context.
