Okay, in this video, you would like climate change to be fought more aggressively or faster. But what steps would you implement to fight climate change?
Watch his many other videos. Rate of energy use has to be cut back. Energy throughput matters, energy per unit time, not the absolute amount of energy consumed. So industry and waste energy uses have to be slowed down. Point is that can happen without drastic lowering of standard of living, in fact standard of living can improve. Eliminate bullsh*t jobs. Governments can never run out of their own tax credits, so can always employ anyone wanting to work for public purpose, in "green" jobs.
We also need to shift massively to public transport–free electric buses and trains; energy conservation etc. But it won't be easy or popular. Only once people realise that this i an existential threat will the public be willing to accept the kind of rationing that occurred in WWII. And it has to be born primarily by the rich rather than the poor.
@ProfSteveKeen it seems that whenever the government wants something born by the rich, the poor end up paying due to elasticity of demand.
Steve – we should also be openly discussing and pushing for nationalizing utility companies and power companies. CEO’s shouldn’t be profiting off of people being able to power their homes, cook their food and cook themselves in the summer. People want lower electric bills and aggressive policy can help.

Real scientists have known for over a hundred years that people who believe in saving the World are indulging in the adolescent fantasies of being a hero. The hero archetype is often deployed to inspire human sacrifice.
Not only does Keen now have no credibility, he's also very sinister and dangerous. History is full of degenerates indulging in the adolescent hero fantasy, also known as the messiah complex.
You can't stop the climate changing for a start. You can manipulate historic temperature graphs. Just compare the graphs of today with those from the 1980s & 1990s.
Save the planet – George Carlin.
Look it up.
Don’t listen to the economists says the economists.
Building a scary ideology around modeling complex systems and calling it science. That is the main thing that economists, epidemiologists and greens have in common.
I'd vote for you if I was in Australia
I thought Steve Keene was intelligent.. yet he believes in climate change 🤣
Probably took the safe and effective experimental shot too
What a fool buying into this BS theory
@Bijou Smith how about no. Warm weather has been a net positive for life on earth. The fact that you guys assume change is bad is totally dumb.
Totally agree. The crisis is existential so we need politicians who stop the endless distracting talkfest and do something….urgently! Good luck in the election.
@Joe Shmoe I used to think climate change was overstated too but the experts with no vested interest lined up to support it and the extreme weather events went out of control in my home country, Australia, as they predicted.
@bee splaination those events aren’t that unpredictable. They happen more than you think.
@Joe Shmoe they do now!
Private industry will have solutions to problems. Not politicians.
LMAO!
