It's mostly the parents responsibility to guide their children even when they are young adults. But yes universities shouldn't let students "pay and fail". The costs/debts are far too great. Universities should also warn students more clearly about possible employment prospects with numbers. Be clear about the very small job market for "soft programs" like social studies and art.
How much should students pay, should teachers be unionized, should the GOV be more involved in the curriculum and make sure students are trained for jobs that exist, should the Gov guarantee student loans, should only grades be the criteria to accept students?
