This work is being delivered as part of the What Works Centre for Wellbeing, which aims to develop and share robust, accessible and useful evidence that governments, businesses, communities and people can use to improve wellbeing across the UK.

Our work involves:

  • Contributing to the framework and focus of the programme, as part of the initial public dialogues;
  • Secondary analysis of wellbeing data to provide insights into inequalities in wellbeing, and the drivers of those inequalities;
  • Working with partners to update our 2012 guidance on  Measuring Wellbeing, to include more information, guidance and resources for frontline organisations;
  • And working with other actors in civil society to engage end users of academic outputs and provide summaries and products that can help them in their work. These publications can be found on the Community Wellbeing page.

The What Works Centre for Wellbeing also contains fascinating insights from other research into wellbeing at work, and the impact of sport and culture on wellbeing. If you would like to sign up to the latest Evidence Alerts from the programme, you can do so here.
