Steve Keen (born 28 March 1953) is an Australian-born, British-based economist and author. He considers himself a post-Keynesian, criticising neoclassical economics as inconsistent, unscientific and empirically unsupported. The major influences on Keen's thinking about economics include John Maynard Keynes, Karl Marx, Hyman Minsky, Piero Sraffa, Augusto Graziani, Joseph Alois Schumpeter, Thorstein Veblen, and François Quesnay.

  1. I read Carl Menger's "On the Origins of Money." It's just opinions with zero evidence. But somehow modern academics, especially in Austian school, seem to think that he is somekind of authority on the matter of origin of money. Nearly all origins of money videos in Youtube keep peddling this barter myth and usually Carl Menger is their source.
