Steve Keen (born 28 March 1953) is an Australian-born, British-based economist and author. He considers himself a post-Keynesian, criticising neoclassical economics as inconsistent, unscientific and empirically unsupported. The major influences on Keen's thinking about economics include John Maynard Keynes, Karl Marx, Hyman Minsky, Piero Sraffa, Augusto Graziani, Joseph Alois Schumpeter, Thorstein Veblen, and François Quesnay.

While this is correct in terms of raw increase in temperature, my understanding is that the tropics will be one of the first regions to become uninhabitable, due to the combination of humidity and temperature causing a wet bulb temperature exceeding human body limits. Not the place you want to be in the coming decades.

    • This is the kind of basic consideration that the "scientists" who host that show skip right past, which makes me really question their credentials and ability to think critically. Not to mention they host a BUNCH of loons. Michael Hudson and Steve Keen notwithstanding, I'm not sure there's a single credible guest who's been on their show.
