He considers himself a post-Keynesian, criticising neoclassical economics as inconsistent, unscientific and empirically unsupported. The major influences on Keen's thinking about economics include John Maynard Keynes, Karl Marx, Hyman Minsky, Piero Sraffa, Augusto Graziani, Joseph Alois Schumpeter, Thorstein Veblen, and François Quesnay.

    It's a gross oversimplification to say "that's all the cost increase".. student loans truly fueled the fires

  3. Colleges will charge as much as students can afford. Student loans allow students to afford more, and so colleges charge more. You want to reduce the cost of college? Get rid of student loans.

  4. It's amazing how we live in a country that doesn't have free education even though the nation will require well educated people to keep all the current systems in place.
