Steve Keen (born 28 March 1953) is an Australian-born, British-based economist and author. He considers himself a post-Keynesian, criticising neoclassical economics as inconsistent, unscientific and empirically unsupported. The major influences on Keen's thinking about economics include John Maynard Keynes, Karl Marx, Hyman Minsky, Piero Sraffa, Augusto Graziani, Joseph Alois Schumpeter, Thorstein Veblen, and François Quesnay.

  2. Is there zero self awareness here or just simply very low intellect? Even if many American's think socialism is what many nation in Europe have, the fact is that American's don't have it.
    This video is a prime example of beyond parody with the terrible argumentation and the 'based' music going along side it.

  3. Many, probably most, social democrats describe themselves as socialists. They overwhelmingly reject a command economy and state ownership of the means of production For SDs the purpose of the economy is the wellbeing of the many and basic material decency for all. SDs reject belief in a self equilibrating free market, and its supposed implication of welfare maximization. Consequentially, they advocate a rationalized economic democracy. Nuance is rare in US politics.
