Steve & Friends with Blair Fix. Livestream #33

Summary:
Blair what you’d call an economic heretic — someone who thinks that mainstream economics is largely ideology in service of the powerful. Rather than pay lip service to dogma, he prefers to follow the evidence. It’s a fun job, but one that makes him a pariah in economics departments. And so he finds myself doing crowdfunded science, supported by readers who appreciated my work. Website: https://economicsfromthetopdown.com/

Topics:
Steve Keen considers the following as important:

This could be interesting, too:

New Economics Foundation writes Moving forward

Dean Baker writes Health insurance killing: Economics does have something to say

NewDealdemocrat writes Retail Real Sales

Another great stream. Today I learned that a simple flexible tube is a marvelous audio tool and then how to un duck economics. 😉

    • As funny as his little mask is, I have to give him credit, he has been Covid free for over 3 years.

@Ty Keynes good. i know some who have had it 3 or 4 times. Each black, one in residences for neurosurgery + military and another doing retail jobs. crazy shit

  2. Will try to keep an open mind but, honestly, I don’t think Tony Blair should be the guy we look to for a fix to anything.

Steve’s line about statue and corpses is making the rounds Caspian Report “Net Zero by 2050 is not happening” has some rather depressing news, but in it riff on his line

  4. Great show – heterodox economics followers are very small lot – one day we will change the world but it will probably be too late

  5. Ty – found a great interview for the show – Matthew Desmond – he's not an economics geek, he's a social scientist

  6. Blair’s comment regarding pay structure – I am the controller of a small business (less than 50 people). And I do not know the pay structure – LOL
