Steve Keen (born 28 March 1953) is an Australian-born, British-based economist and author. He considers himself a post-Keynesian, criticising neoclassical economics as inconsistent, unscientific and empirically unsupported. The major influences on Keen's thinking about economics include John Maynard Keynes, Karl Marx, Hyman Minsky, Piero Sraffa, Augusto Graziani, Joseph Alois Schumpeter, Thorstein Veblen, and François Quesnay.

    What do you mean by the good side of capitalism? As in what specific policies and systems are part of the "good" side of capitalism?

      Capitalism is not a political system. Its a economic system, the specific “good parts” are the fact that you are well furnished in goods and food far beyond the reach of the vast majority of humanity… or that one can actually labor and have excess value instead of simply living day to day. These are the “good parts” the results of capitalism. The “bad parts” are what we typically refer to as side effects.

    • @@editedforprivacy207 it’s assumption to think he’s living la vida loca under capitalism. He could be homeless for all you know. Besides, capitalism is a detriment to productive forces in an industrial econom.
