"Democracy in Europe Movement 2025 (kurz DiEM25, deutsch Bewegung Demokratie in Europa 2025) ist eine linke paneuropäische Bewegung, die nach eigenen Angaben die „gerechte Gestaltung des 21. Jahrhunderts“ zum Ziel hat. DiEM25 wurde am 9. Februar 2016 vom ehemaligen griechischen Finanzminister Yanis Varoufakis in der Volksbühne Berlin vorgestellt. DiEM25 sieht ein Demokratiedefizit in der Europäischen Union und strebt daher die Demokratisierung Europas an.[2] Das Manifest der Bewegung trägt den Titel „Europa demokratisieren!
