Let’s not deny it; we’re facing fascism — Richard Murphy

Summary:
Richard Murphy says out loud for all to hear what a lot of people are thinking to themselves and whispering about. This is starting to evoke memories of the 1930's. "Antifa" (antifascism) has been saying this for some time and has been marginalized for it. Now it is becoming an issue. There is a tendency to blame the president and his administration for this, that that would be incorrect given the history. This doesn't happen overnight and has been a long time in the building. Arguably, it began before the undertaking of "the great experiment," and in my own memory it was clear by the Nixon era, brought to the fore by the Civil Rights Movement under the leadership of Dr. Martin Luther King.Tax Research UKLet’s not deny it; we’re facing fascismRichard Murphy | Professor of Practice in
