Russia Stories Rolling Up Like London Buses — Paul Robinson

Summary:
My contempt for the US intelligence community has never been greater. As a former intelligence person myself, I find myself asking, ‘Were we always this bad?....The record shows the affirmative, that is both the CIA and MI6. That includes J. Edgar Hoover's FBI, too. The FBI should be ashamed to have his name attached their building. One gets the impression that there is now a deep, deep hatred of Russia within the US government, a hatred that prevents any sane analysis of Russian intentions and actions, as well as of US national interests.…Needless to say, this is dangerous. Usually, I put non-economic matters in the links section. But this deserves special attention. New Economics Foundation writes We need more than a tax on the super rich to deliver climate and economic justice

Needless to say, this is dangerous. Usually, I put non-economic matters in the links section. But this deserves special attention. Biden is turning out to be another Bill Clinton (Serbia) and Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama (Libya and Syria). Except this time it is Russia.

Right out of the gate, the Biden administration is stoking hot war in Europe (eastern Ukraine). The next European war is likely to see the total destruction of continental Europe and the UK.

This is moving has moved onto the irrational level, a level on which anything is possible.

J. Hawk is a good analyst but I think he may be too optimistic here, relying on rational agents. There is a lot of irrationality involved and some insanity, too.

How many times must we repeat: in this war which the US and NATO have started against Russia, force will decide the outcome, not words. So if President Joseph Biden (lead image, centre) and his Secretary of State Antony Blinken (left) are afraid of running the risk of losing the former – watch the Donbass in the coming weeks — they will stick to wars of words; that’s propaganda, info-war, cyber-war....

Caitlin weighs in.
A new report from the US National Intelligence Council assesses that most of the governments the US-centralized empire has targeted for destruction are guilty of seeking to interfere in the nation’s 2020 election.

Ahem.

Yeah, so, that’s the news. According to the US intelligence cartel, the nations which sought to interfere in the outcome of the US election include Russia, Iran, China, Lebanese Hizballah, Cuba, and Venezuela. Interestingly, exactly zero nations aligned geopolitically with the United States are listed as having interfered in its electoral process....

The crazy thing is that many Americans will accept this at face value in spite of having been lied to repeatedly. On the other hand, "lie" is not exactly the correct word. The world view of the intelligence people results their shaping reality to their cognitive-affective biases. So while disinformation is an integral aspect of intel operations, there is some basis in thinking that the intel people are a bit bonkers, as Patrick Armstrong explains in a link above. There seems to be considerable self-delusion involved.
