Russia.Post
The Strange Death of Liberal Russia – Part III ("Liberalism" is ambiguous. The post is useful for clarifying important issues specifically. Russians have never been "liberal" in the US or UK sense, which are somewhat different. The meaning of "liberal" is even more different for continental Europeans and differs from country to country. So it might be expected that "liberal" applies to Russia would also be different from those, since Russia is a civilizational country that shares in some Western values, in its own way, but not all Western values. Then there is the issue of traditional Western value and contemporary Western values. Russian may share some traditional Western values. but they are disdainful of many contemporary Western values, in particular "wokism." The post is worth reading for the numbers.)
