As ever, it has been much harder to select one book from my longlist than it was to narrow it down to those ten. After mulling it over for a few days, I can announce today that the winner is Jean Tirole’s Economics for the Common Good. My review of it is here. Mike Norman is an economist and veteran trader whose career has spanned over 30 years on Wall Street. He is a former member and trader on the CME, NYMEX, COMEX and NYFE and he managed money for one of the largest hedge funds and ran a prop trading desk for Credit Suisse.
