Meanwhile, as seen in the above Murasalon map, the Syrian Army are pushing their offensive against ISIS directly to oilfields they control. This is in the hope to reach the oilfields before the US-backed forces do so, who only launched their operations in Deir Ezzor once the Syrian Army made rapid progress against the terrorist group.
