I used to love the Avengers as a boy. If there were any problems in the world, they would all dissappear when the Avengers was on. The Avengers - a world where there were no drugs, no divorces, no abusive parents, no difficult children, no depression, no anxiety. Just dodgy foreign agents, or a master criminal, and sometimes a mad scientist- oh, and it was chock full of S&M themes too! Diana Rigg as Emma Peel was stunning! During the 1960's Hollywood had decimated British cinema, so the best of the British film industry talent, the producers, directors, script writers, artists, etc, all went into television. The Avengers was one its fabulous results. [embedded content]Patrick Macnee, Diana Rigg & Brian Clemens 1990 AVENGERS It still brings joy to me today, even the music is great. Diana

It still brings joy to me today, even the music is great. Diana Rigg said that the vintage cars they used were so old that they never knew if they were going to start, or not, so they would sit there turning the key saying please start!
