Mike, to me you seem like a good fit for Miami, Boca Raton, areas. I have been to a few places in Florida and that area is really happening. I have been to conventions in Orlando and Disney area but I would not want to live there. I would want to be near the beaches. Good luck in your search.

Plenty of epic challenges out here in Oregon. It's a fantastic place to live if you like the outdoors. You could do a day summit up Diamond Peak or an overnight summit up the South Sister. I'm 62 and last year rented an electric mountain bike in Eugene and did an awesome 24 mile ride through fantastic forest on a world class trail system in the Oakridge/Westfir area. I will always remember that ride! Cool idea of mixing physical challenges with investing and market interests.

Bring a compact camping water filter, can come in handy, never know what water you'll have access to. I grew up in FL & miss it, im up in the mountains now, anyhow, there's lots of nice areas, central Florida is my favorite because you're central, also its hilly in some areas with loads of fresh water lakes & beautiful springs & rivers. The coast is nice too but you run the risk of storm surges & such if your house isn't built to contend with it.

My life has changed since I started running Spartan races. My first race I thought it was going to be impossible, then crossing the finish line was so satisfying that I got hooked ever since.

Hey Mike – I think the best physical and mental endurance events you can do is fight Muay Thai or BJJ. Mostly Muay Thai.
Training for a fight is like no other when it comes to mental game and toughness. They have local leagues where we can all sign up!! I fight here in Bay Area California, but that have WBC and IKf leagues everywhere.
That would be a great mental game challenge. I’ve often times used my mental strength interchangeably when it comes to finance and martial arts.
And to add..martial arts is generally separated by weight class and skill level at this point. So no worries for those who are scared of a mismatch
