I liked your nuanced analysis of spending cuts vs tax cuts, but wouldn't the same be true for interest rates? High rates benefit the lenders, but the interest income will be sitting in some savings; whereas low rates benefit the borrowers, and the extra money will be spent into economy. I mean, look at an average guy with a mortgage + car loan + student loan and a saving account, lower interest would be more beneficial for him and for the economy.
