i'm a gear head too. 2nd owner of a pre 87 monte carlo ss (was a survivor till this last thankgiving week) owned since 2003 and blew the engine and its still solid with 0 rust. this week or next should finally have it back with a brand new Lo5 GM 350. they don't make many of those gen1 engines anymore…
