We still have Delta variant but this Omicron is reportedly mild for most people which probably means less harmful inflammatory response.
I rmber when hospitals were telling sick people to go home and ride it out until they needed oxygen. Today, they might be admitted if there's space for them.
Since March 2020 I heard mainstream but critical doctors discuss obesity, inflammation worsened by obesity (cytokine storm or cytokine fire), health impacts, and the role of Vit D3. D3 is cheap so I added 1 caplet per day, understanding there was no formal "studies" on D3 and COVID.
I'm old and fat, tho slowly getting thinner.
So far, so good. 2x vax + boost. No COVID. Plus, I had to go to work entire time and consistently dined out with early mask protocols. Some of this is arguably "COVID theater" but I'm not excessively "political" about the mix of safety and superstition.
