  1. Used this analogy many times to explain MMT to people. Love it Mike

    • MMT is wrong because it says government creates money. In fact, only private banks create all money. The Federal Reserve is privately-owned by banks.

  2. You little beauty another pod cast, I really was blown away that you knew of that turtle trader dude and was on the same trade floor, I've read the book but hearing about him from your perspective was pretty cool.

A player who can access the bank for herself whenever she wants = USA:
    #PlayingWithHouseMoney of ?.
What daddy's franchise casino brat Prez so ironically didn't understand.

  4. Monopoly. Makes sense. Good analogy.

  5. Your vdo on Yellen and interest rates showed just how goofy these people in high office are, that the country should trust. I'm looking forward to a weekend in NYC!

  6. How much money is equivalent to the pool over flowing? At some point is too much stimulus too much? What is that point, Mike?

  7. The game of monopoly was originally called the landlords game and was intended to show how landlords steal the economic surplus, but the game could be played with alternate rules where the rent was shared, illustrating Georgist ideology, but I guess it works for MMT too – they are after all compatible ideologies.

  8. did i miss it? no comment on the UFC going public?

  9. HeuristicalWorker

    MPT: Monopoly (game) Portfolio theory.

  10. Printin' moneyyy ?

  11. Everybody who pays tax forgets that their income is higher than it other would have been because of prior government spending that has bounced around the economy. Money doesn't stop at its first use.

  12. A little off topic, but why would anyone own a non-dividend paying stock? What does one really own when they own it? Part of a company, but if it never pays anything to the holder, where is the value? Even if they increase profits 10 fold in a decade, why would the next guy want to pay more for your shares as it still pays nothing? (I understand the greater fool theory, and the owner hopes some Moe will pay more for it in the future, but let's look beyond that theory and ask why would anyone ever own it to begin with)
    .
I''m not dependent on appreciation to make money from CD's, bonds, rental real estate, dividend stocks etc. The price can stay the same forever and one can make a good return
    .
    Not trolling btw. Legitimate question

  13. Yellen back-peddled later today

when they gonna put the monopoly guy in prison ?
Dick Fuld on Barrons Headline 2006 "Wall Street has a new rock star". 2008 collapse. another contrarian news paper article.

Dow at one million and one loaf of bread cost 5000dollars, WTF, labor wages not keeping up. This disconnect is a recipe for revolution comrade.

Pissed off, cynical and negative due to your own ignorance. Life has never been more abundant, affordable and convenient. Go back 150 years. Work 2 days for a measly plate of shitty food. You're problem is, you just want to be pissed off. Wallow in it, doofus.

@Michael Norman I am not pissed off just observing non emotional been on this earth 70 yrs, I am not in dire straits but I see what is coming, no judgement just my forecast. Everybody has a right to thier own opinion. I wonder how much longer you tube will allow this freedom of dialect? They are located in Virginia ground zero for the intelligence community.

    • Michael Norman

@merchantsailor Why do you post such ridiculous, emotional comments like this?

    • merchantsailor

@Michael Norman Very easy to notice how the working poor is falling behind, my opinion.

40% of the total assets of SPX is the 7 fang stocks. DOT COM CRASH does history repeat.

  17. merchantsailor

I see the future differently, Digital currency will complete the conquest of the one percenters to absolutely control gubbamant regulation to stop any new upstarts, at sametime any unwelcome upstarts can be simply eliminated by shutting off all access to media , food, money, etc. How just turn off thier cell phone, and wha la. Better than a concentration camp for dissidents.

  18. patricio barros

You gotta go more in depth with this in a longer video or podcast
