    • I got lucky. I was too busy to sell off y'day but I got to sell and get out of debt to Schwab. I coulda done better on some things maybe watching "momentum" and selling higher, but I'm a noob so I'm happy. I'll just keep riding my paper losses on house building and such even if I need to wait to next spring. I don't expect to be Buffett in 6 months.

    • I'm also negative on CAT and OSK but Mitch and Dems are making noises about agreement and only really bickering on terms and details. I think they're going to hammer something out. McConnell wants the debt ceiling to be on separate legislation from spending bills, and someone said they didn't like the language of the debt ceiling resolution. I will reread that but last time I read those headlines it sounded like it was moving forward.

  14. I don't understand enough about the actual mechanics to know whether it is correct to raise the debt limit or not. The pros/cons. Could Mike or someone explain?
