    Get a rat bait station. Rats can figure out the trap but if they take the bait they won’t come back

    Most likely trash pandas (raccoons). They will eat anything and are very clever

    Only squirrels and racoons are smart enough to avoid traps like that.

  6. I put out food for the critters away from my garden. Corn, peanuts, and or general bird seed. Animal's when presented and option will usually take the easier route. Also, if you place said food out in open area a bird a prey will help control rodents.
