  1. We need to stop Wall Street monsters like BLACKROCK from buying and pushing up real estate turning them into rentals. It’s not just lumber.

It’s no wonder why prices stopped falling after 2012. Foreclosures were put back and homes were bought by them.

  2. And also commercial and industrial loans are dipping again.

  3. Financial conditions are tightening, consumers are rejecting higher prices. The only inflation is coming from shortages meeting demand. Wages are low. Markets are poised to correct in a significant way. There’s will be more whippings until morale improves.

    • @Executive Decision Having an artificial control on wages will only create more shortages. There is no minimum wage on self employment and it’s the small businesses that are being squeezed the hardest in this transfer of wealth. The truth is that people are losing faith in the government to solve their problems and they are reacting by rejecting the currency for things they think they will need in the near term. This reevaluation on life is causing many to cut expenses, defer payments and to opt out of the system as fast as possible. Without resources are former middle class is turning to encampments and handouts to survive. How long is this really sustainable for before the investor class has no one to rent from them anymore. Inflation is only showing its head where ther is a need and a shortage. Everywhere else looks like the Great Depression 2.0

@Beagle Farms I'm self-employed, but I used to work for minimum wage in New Jersey. But most of the jobs I got paid between $9 and $12. Here in California minimum wage is about $13 or $13.50. That's why we have the largest economy in the United States! CA and New York bail out the Republican-ravaged red states on a regular basis.

So one could argue that the poor states relying on the blue states have employers who can't afford to pay $10 or $12 or the proposed $15 / hour, and that it depends on the size of the company. Maybe…. but there's nothing wrong with the federal government subsidizing that. Yet the corporate elites on both ends of the political spectrum prevent the $15 / hr bill from passing anyway, so that should put your mind at ease.

    • @Executive Decision If you are in California then you know that the Bidentowns are everywhere. The homeless live in cars, by the river, in tents and squat in the vacant houses. California should not be held up as an example to the world. I also live here and can speak from experience. You are trying to politicize human behavior. The dems aren’t going to rescue anybody and neither are the reds. It’s up to yourself and your community to navigate this crisis. Endorsing wage controls isn’t going to help anyone learn self sufficiency or how to live on less. If you can’t learn to carry on and tighten your belt, there will be no future. Trying to assign blame to one side or another is divisive, when both parties are the reason we are here in the first place.

@Beagle Farms Homelessness is a problem in every state, and if it seems worse here in CA it's simply because we have the largest population in the country.

Don't start complaining about the border, because that's been a problem for DECADES. Trump barely got any of his border wall built, and even he was complaining about a large increase in illegal border crossings in the 2018 mid-terms. That's why the Democrats re-took the House in large numbers that year, because Donald's empty threat of taking everyone's government-funded health insurance away was taken seriously by enough people.

Biden has said many times the border will remain closed. However, there are immigrants who can come into this country legally ( something the previous administration stopped — at least for immigrants who weren't white ). Biden isn't separating immigrant kids from their parents and throwing them in cages, which Trump did. But it will take CONGRESS to put together an immigration bill, and they've been unable to do that for 40 years.

No I'm not politicizing human behavior. However, if I were in charge in Washington I'd make it mandatory for everyone to get their 2 shots of Moderna of Pfizer vaccine and coast to coast! That includes the anti-vaxxers. First offense : $200. Second offense : 30 days in jail.

The anti-maskers have made the Republican Party a joke. Even your failed former president ( who has yet to concede his election loss ) is still telling you to get the vaccine. Donald & Melania finally did the day they left Washington. He's also taking credit for it, which he doesn't deserve because if Trump hadn't dismantled Obama's Emergency Response Team in 2017, we wouldn't have a pandemic. That's why we were safe in the years before Trump : Bush, Jr. and Obama prevented most of those viruses from reaching our country in the first place! And those they couldn't prevent ended up killing nowhere near the large numbers of people that COVID got. During the Obama years, we didn't have to wear masks in public !

Biden's people have gotten tens of millions more doses of vaccines distributed both in the U.S. and internationally. At least now our country is no longer a joke, and isn't shutting itself off from the rest of the world the way Trump did.

You should be THANKING HIM instead of blasting him. I'm not saying he's a great President, but compared to Trump anything is an improvement. Biden wasn't my first choice. Joe isn't that liberal. He a centrist Democrat who used to give Republicans in the Senate what they wanted. Now he's President and doing the right things for Americans, except when two members of his own party ( Senators Manchin and Sinema ) stand in the way.

    • @Beagle Farms LOL. You really think that "learning self sufficiency", "tightening your belt" and other platitudes are really the solution? That didn't work in the 1930s, why would it work today?

  4. Child tax payments will start soon afterwards

    • That just shifts half of the tax credit from filing time to spread out during the previous 6 months. It isn't new money, just half of the existing credit paid in advance.

  5. They cutting the benefits earyer than they saying here in Alabama.. they cut mine off the following week it was on the news. I gonna sit on my hands until the wages go up. 14$ hr ant worth it. I may move back to one the democrap states.. I moved here to republican's state, everyone said they better. Yeah right. 14hr to drive a forklift is shit. Alabama is the place to come if you need cheap labor .Housing and rent about 1k a month. that's for a shack .
