  1. you can learn from anybody, wisdom is wisdom no matter where it comes from.

  2. nah, i appreciate the emotional sh1t. "keep truckin"

  3. I didn't have any problem with the Buddhist stuff. You were just using it as an analogy, to explain things in a different way. It's good to get a different perspective like that, and you've got no need to apologize. However, if you want to grow your channel, you should use user comments to drive the topics, rather than repeating what your long-time followers have already heard heard many times. I've asked numerous questions about MMT that you've never explained, but you've never addressed them. You've not even answered any of the many times I've requested you answer user comments more. I certainly feel ignored. Maybe others do too. Anyway, keep up the good work. As far as I'm concerned, your videos are "must see", and I'm glad I found your channel.

  4. I think you should keep it up Mike. The mind game is a big part of it and whatever approach you can offer for the right mindset, doesn't need to be wholey adopted. It can be taken analogously.

  5. You are 100% right. A Buddhist meditation technique called Vipassana helps me be in control of my mind and be fully aware of how it’s reacting to different stimuli and circumstances. It trains the mind to be equanimous no matter what, which therefore brings a lot of clarity.

  6. Many people never learn to seperate their thoughts, emotions and ego from self. It takes time and practice to master not letting outside events and stimuli influence your self and making sound life choices be it trading or your greater journey.

I have learned something from every culture and religion
Cheery pick the good, ignore the shortcomings
Always have to adapt, cannot copy paste Buddhism or any other philosophy without localizing or making it relevant to your situation
I like that you are rational and not randomly judgemental
    Take care

  8. 2008 is my great investing regret. Man I wish I bought more.

  9. Yeah Mike, he is right, u best give us the real advice, like, say, "The Maverick of Wallstreet" channel. Even I became his paid member, and I am so cheap I never become a paid member. Something to think about…

Keep giving us the Buddhist shit, Mike. Those upset are saying more about themselves than you. Lately, I’ve been watching interviews of basketball coach John Wooden, and reading his book Wooden on Leadership. You might find it useful. Has a great definition of success and how to achieve it. Lines up with what you are saying.

  11. The path to true enlightened is suffering

  12. Mike, I want to hear all of your insights so please keep going how you want to and share what you want. I would disregard the other person you were responding to. That is not what all of us think.

  13. The example, Warren Buffet, is 90 years old. Maybe we will also be rich at that age but what are we supposed to do in the meanwhile? Can't do much while being poor, so the process is pretty long and painful.

Mike – be yourself. We want u to talk about anything that comes to your mind. It all does help. Don’t apologize… Everything you say makes sense and serves a purpose and is helpful. Keep being you and keep showing us you ?

  15. But it's ALL Buddhist shit! Reminds me of my favourite Jungian coaching advice (for someone else), 'Your brain is always going to be an asshole, Meghan. It's just it's job. You're brain gives you some bullshit random thought and you think, 'OK. That sounds true. I'll believe THAT! I'll hold onto that and believe it forever!'?

  16. good stuff, the suffering is real. very real

  17. Finance & Economics

    We are spiritual beings.

I was raised Catholic, but have learned a lot myself from Eastern Philosophy. Buddhism (especially), Hinduism, Taoism and several other traditions all offer insights into life. Just gotta keep an open mind.

I like that you're incorporating insights from Buddhism into your analysis.

  18. Finance & Economics

No doubt there is a psychological pain associated with taking losses.

Some of us have a contrarian mindset, we like to go against the crowd. I think those who focus on the short side act on that. We want to sell/fade the crowd. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work out. Being a small trader we can't control the market. The market as a whole is a force of nature.

  19. No Mike, must share your wisdom also, mechanics and information about the market are only part of the traders success toolkit. You also have free speech. Not fair that others would comment that way. Keep sharing as yourself. It is appreciated, maybe not enough people tell u.
