The Economy and “A Trump Thanksgiving”

As suggested by New Deal democrat, the nation is experiencing an expansion of the economy which seems less likely to end in a recession. “There has been some commentary that continuing claims mean a recession is imminent or may even be underway. I am discounting that because initial claims have always signaled first, and also because continuing claims have been in the range of 25%-30% higher YoY for the last 6 months without worsening. Turning...

Fact-Checking Niagara Falls Bridge Crossing Crash Misinformation

Much of this information is taken from HuffPost, my experiences traveling from Michigan to Upstate New York monthly, and crossing back and forth into and out of Canada at the Niagara Falls Bridge Crossing. It is hard to misbehave on the Rainbow Bridge crossing going from Niagara NY to Niagara Ontario or vice versa. There is usually traffic and it is closely monitored. What was an innocent trip changed after 911. Surveillance was stricter as were...

Ruling citing Engaging in Insurrection

Arne in an earlier post this morning commented; “The ruling by Judge Wallace in Colorado that trump engaged in insurrection has not been discussed in another posting yet. If he is legally the instigator, is he guilty of manslaughter?” A Colorado judge on Friday (17 November) found that former President Donald Trump engaged in insurrection during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol but rejected an effort to keep him off the state’s...

AI Algorithm allegedly leads to Medicare Advantage Denial of Claims

Industry has been talking about AI (Artificial Intelligence) for a while now. And of course, industry has been looking to reduce the amount of labor input with AI. Having used computerized systems such as MRPII, ERP, etc., I have always followed the wisdom of people such as Oliver Wight and George Plossl. The system is as accurate as the input to it. Which means, you have to check your work. A system can also be used to intentionally mislead in its...

Rooting out Communists, Marxists, Racists, and Radical Thugs

Successful Economy or failing economy, this person of no distinction should be denied the presidency. November 13, 2023, Letters from an American, Prof. Heather Cox Richardson In a speech Saturday in Claremont, New Hampshire, and then in his Veterans Day greeting yesterday on social media, former president Trump echoed German Nazis. “In honor of our great Veterans on Veteran’s Day [sic] we pledge to you that we will root out the...

A Snippet from the Court Hearing – Attack on Paul Pelosi

As taken from Civil Discourse. The attack on Pelosi’s husband. This is not major news until you get to the third paragraph. You then read about how the fat xxx is making light of the attack on Paul Pelosi with hammer. I can tell you what treatment prisoners might receive in person from levels 1 to 4. I would love to see trump in a level 4. Won’t happen. Possibility of a Level 2 with exposure to other prisoners. Watch how you name quickly fades....

Freight and people shouldn’t mix on the roads

I agree with Lloyd’s dad Gabe and also Lloyd. Big trucks including construction vehicles exceed the speed limit. Their weight does not enable them to stop in short distances. The results of a collision with automobiles is catastrophic with people in cars being seriously injured or dying. The volumes being moved long distances are better served by rail to nearby land ports and off loaded to short haul trucks. This is what mostly occurs with loads...
