Have you considered becoming a snow bird? It lets you enjoy the best of both Florida and the Northeast. They're incredibly common to the point that traffic changes when it's "snowbird season." Either way, I hope you enjoy it here. I've lived in the state all my life and the only reason I've ever even thought of leaving was for cooler weather.
Hey Mike, I just moved to Florida on May 22nd. Staying Orlando area, Lake Nona, and looking around for a place to buy. I'd like to get together with you if you are nearby.
Idk how anyone can ~survive~ in NYC. Strikes me as a pretty scary place. I think of the Blues Brothers movie – 2 guys in a 1 roomer right by the railroad tracks LOL In any case, Good luck, hope things go well for you 😉

I'm in a wheelchair Mike I move to Florida cuz of the warm I love it you're going to have a blast and here's one thing I can tell you that's going to happen you brain is not going to understand not having snow. It took me 6 years so my brain could believe that no snow was coming it's the craziest you are going to love it love it love it I'm in St Petersburg you have to come up to see us congratulations

Florida will definitely open you up to a lot more fitness based activities, Trail Running, Biking, Fishing, Golfing, Hunting. Run with a dog on the beach. Best of luck if you open a coffee business, can't go wrong with coffee and cigars. Cigars aren't as bad as you'd think. All natural, dried and aged tobacco. No chemicals. You just might need a little sugar to combat the nicotine buzz. Florida is also becoming it's own financial hub. All the best and happy for you that you made the change.
