Here some nice areas near LA: San Diego, Huntington Beach, Manhattan Beach and Carlsbad CA. Venice has a crime problem with too many drugged out homeless people. If you think watching the stock market is challenging on the West Coast, try Hawaii.

Maui is still paradise! The ocean is clean and not cold. The people are warm and friendly. The cost of housing and the timing thing still a thing….but I love going to sleep early and waking up early. The sunsets and sunrises are spectacular. How long has it been since you saw the stars at night?? It’s pretty cool. Full moon nights are magical. If I stay in the USA I can’t imagine being anywhere but Hawaii. I’m starting to think I’m done with the US though.
True about EST I live on west coast but friends don’t like going to dinner at 530pm 😂 then again I offer to wake them up at 430am when I’m up. Cheers mike
