Oh my God! Mike you’re 67?? You look great kid! The python pig analogy was hilarious! Love it!
Well there's a couple factors. 1 i'm not sure plays a role, maybe you can correct me, but the other I'm sure is playing a role. 1. T+2 , so if there was buying last friday, it all settled today. It's also OpEx week. Monthly options contracts expire. This usually happens on the third Friday of each month at 3 PM (CST). If the third Friday is a holiday, the expiration date will be on the Thursday before.
During OpEx week, trading volume may increase as traders adjust their positions before expiration. Large-cap stocks with actively traded options tend to have higher average weekly returns during these weeks.
OpEx can also lead to increased choppiness in the stock market. This is because as options expire, bulls and bears often alter their positions as time runs out.

Guilty of what you just talked about. I'm doing much better but I've been there. Thanks for sharing about this subject that not many talk about. But it's so crucial to become a good trader. Keep them coming!
Mike thank you for being a teller of the truth
Mike Norman is the king of modern day stocks investing (He can lead you to water but he can’t make you drink it)
Aside from some energy increases, the main thing keeping up inflation is shelter, and imputed rents (mortgage costs) are a big part of that which means higher interest rates are the thing keeping inflation up!
universal income will replace ss…there is going to be a group of people who are unemployiable and underemployed…universal income is coming…
Totally agree!
Hey Mike what is your CAGR % since you started investing after finishing off your professional trading career , that is a fair question to ask to track performance specially over a long period of time
Is that really important? Here’s my philosophy of life. I have enough money. I don’t work too hard. I do the things I like to do. I am healthy. My kids are healthy. You can’t take it with you. And you certainly can’t take your track record with you. That’s my philosophy.
Thanks for the insights, Mike. I am staying invested for long term.
I've never heard someone in MMT mention the difference between FDR and Nixon in terms of the gold standard. Thanks for that info!
Was there a reason you did not wait to start your draw on SS
Great stuff Mike!
MMT zombies keep buying like crazy 🤪

We keep hearing that government debt is too large and that we'll never be able to pay it back whatever that means.
